The Hugh
Gassner Fire Company, Inc. was chartered in 1950 and named for
one of the founding brothers who was killed in action while
fighting for his country in Normandy, France on June 7th, 1944.
On January 1st 1963 the fire company assumed the responsibilities
of fire protection for the district.
