It is the mission of the Hugh Gassner Fire Co. to protect the
lives of all those we serve. We will respond quicky and safely
with trained, skilled and compassionate members utilizing the
best available equipment and tools to help in any situation
of those in need. Through careful planning, response preparation,
public education, and community interaction we strive to prevent
the need for our emergency services. We will provide an environment
that attracts members to the Fire Service and through a sense
of brotherhood gives them accomplishment and pride in their
work. We will provide a safe work environment for our firefighters
via extensive training, proper tools, equipment and protective
clothing. We will operate in such a manner as to be of service
and assistance to neighboring fire departments, a credit to
the Fire Service and will uphold the honor and traditions of
the American Fire Service. Through leadership, dedication, integrity,
professionalism, and education the Hugh Gassner Fire Co. strives
to protect the lives and property of the residents, businesses
and visitors of Chestnut Ridge and wherever else called upon
by our neighbors.
